Children’s Church

 

This ministry is the church of tomorrow. Our goal is to pass our wisdom and knowledge to our children. Kids ages 6 to 12 years of age.

Nursery

 

The Nursery is open every Sunday morning from

9:45 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

The volunteer workers care for babies from 1 month old to 5 years old. Parents are welcome to help and visit at any time.

Pantry Ministry

Our pantry ministry focuses on the hungry, homeless, poor, and needy. Come and hear the word of God and enjoy a hot meal every Tuesday and Thursday between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.

Evangelism

Our evangelism ministry works to answer God’s call to reach out and touch the lives of people who may not know that God loves them and that He has a plan for them.

Hospitality

Our hospitality ministry is responsible for welcoming and receiving visitors coming to the church for the first time, as well as those who are members.

Sacred Ministry of Music

Our Sacred Ministry of Music incorporates live musicians, choirs, dancers and audio/visual into our praise and worship for a full experience of devotion to Him.

Media Ministry

Our Media Ministry entails our website and social media platforms which allow us to provide our members and visitors an opportunity to worship from where they are, and throughout the week.

Christian Education

Our Christian Education Program provides an opportunity to learn about God and all he has to offer. We offer classes for new members, adults and children as well.

The Ministry of Sunday school at Second Baptist, an Evangelical Orthodox Church, is a vital ministry to the people of God. Sunday School is essential to our Christians’ growth as we sojourn on planet earth. Therefore, every member is encouraged, and visitors are welcome to attend a Sunday School class of your choice. The Superintendents and teachers are dedicated to teaching God’s Holy Word from biblical curriculum, and books written by Bishop Dillard. Listed below is the list of classes for all ages. Please join us on Sunday morning for Sunday School. You will be blessed from this study experience! Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Ministry of Sunday School, strives to reach, teach, and win souls unto Christ

New Members and Water Baptism Sessions

The Catechism of New Members’ Orientation class is a study course of thirteen lessons, designed for those seeking to become full-communicant members of Second Baptist Church. After completion of the 13 lessons, New Members are awarded a Certificate of Completion and given the “Right-Hand-of-Fellowship,” making them full communicant members of Second Baptist Church.
